Today was picture day for the girls. Look at this gorgeous girl!!!! Awe!!

Preparing for Conference!

Preparing for the General Conference Feast!!!  For FHE, Daddy challenged us to get to know the apostles that will be speaking for Him this weekend! So, today Emily and I printed out pictures of the apostles and prophet. Emily then pasted some fun and interesting facts about each apostle on the back of their picture. This week we are going to try to stump each other and play "Name the Prophet" with the different apostles. Emily is going to talk about Elder Oaks tonight during our family devotional! I love General Conference Feast!! And the spirit was so strong as I watched Emily put these together to help our family prepare ourselves for His words!! "...Whether by mine own voice or the voice of my servants it is the same." How blessed we are to hear His words this weekend!!! What a blessing it is for us to try to prepare our hearts for His words.

A Weekend at a Cabin!!

Friday was amazing!! We got to spend the night with Nana, Ponka, and great grandma!! The girls went fishing, we ate the fish and lots of other yummy treats, we played with fun toys, we slept on bunk beds, we stayed up late with Nana and talked, we stayed up late playing games and had just a blast!

We were so lucky to have Great Grandma there. We are so blessed with amazing heritage! So many faithful examples!

Angela went to her first Womens Conference. It was amazing. I thought the music especially touched my heart. We sang that Christ lives to wipe away our tears. He truly does live. And this conference. This church. Is His. He is at the head.

It was so neat to see what the girls learned from conference. We went for a walk after conference and just shared what we learned and felt. Best. Ever.

So grateful to have my angel, Angela :) I hope she remembers this day forever.

Carolyn had a really neat experience at conference, On our way over to watch the conference, she wrote down about 5 to 6 questions that she had. She had each and every question answered so beautifully! Heavenly Father does hear our prayers. He answers them.

After School Chats

After school, it is so fun to find new ways to share with each other about our days. Two of the girls' favorite games to play this week after school with me and each other is "True and False" and "Two lies and a Truth." "True and False" - I ask the girls questions about their day and they share if it is "true" or "false" - it usually leads to more information so it is fun for me. (Like, ME: "true or false - you learned about the color blue today" Emily: "False. We learned about the color red. We started making a book about the color red." etc) Their other favorite right now is "Two lies and a truth" - We each tell each other 2 things that are true and one that is false and we all have to guess which is true and false - also leads to great discussions. An Example of this is one of Carolyn's she shared:  Carolyn: "which one of these is not true? 1 - My violin teacher was there today. 2 - I did science centers today 3 - I played with Sonja and friends at recess today." Then we all guess which one (the false one was that her violin teacher was there - she had a sub).

My girls help Andrew and I with our callings so much!

Everyday I pick up this silly girl from Kindergarten, she comes up to me and says, "Do you want to play Sleeping Queens?" We have a superstition that whoever asks to play "Sleep Queens" first highers her chance to win the game. And I get to play this game with her once or many more times just about everyday after school :) And she is just a goof ball. She makes me laugh and so happy.

A Great Day

Angela wanted to invite her friend Emily to activity days.  So happy for Angela and the great missionary she is to share His true gospel!

Today was so wonderful. I got to spend some amazing one on one time with each of my sweeties.. Carolyn and I talked and colored. It was so great. I love hearing about her and learning from her example and love of life. Angela and I talked and read together and played a game together. She is getting so amazing at reading and I just love playing games with her :) Emily and I did quite a bit together since she has extra time with me. We played "Sleeping Queens" - her favorite game. We colored and talked. We went on a walk together to take Tommy to a pond to see birds and talked. Tommy and I laughed together. He was sitting on a chair and I'd jump infront of him and he'd just laugh and laugh. We also read a bit together and played ball.  I love the time with my cuties!! I treasure this short time I have with them.I love my life."

Crazy and Fun and cute Angela

I found this picture on my phone. I think Carolnn took it. I think it shows Angela's personality quite well :)
And she had crazy hair day today :)

Good, Better, Best

I loved our Family Council we had today. At the end of our council, we evaluated how we were spending our time and evaluating if we are making sure the BESTS in life always come before the better and goods.

Carolyn's Basketball Team

Carolyn is doing basketball this year in Denver. Her coach is awesome and her teammates are very skilled at the game.  We have been so proud of Carolyn. She is aggressive and works hard and dominates in rebounds. Here is her team this year: (gotta love that look on Carolyn's face - that explains her so well :)
