Last night for FHE, Emily gave a lesson about the Holy Ghost. We discussed baptism and then focused a bit on the Holy Ghost and how we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost after being baptized. Angela wasn't sure what that feeling felt like. Aren't we all  trying to figure this out more and more every day - how the Holy Ghost works in our lives.

When I got home from mutual tonight, I walked into my house to find a beautifully clean kitchen. Cleared off table, dishes all cleaned, swept floor, etc. Then, my sweet Angela came bouncing down the stairs and we talked about how beautifully clean it looked and how happy I was. Angela and Dad were the workers - Angela told me that she emptied the dishwasher, cleared and clean the table and swept the floor. When she was finished telling me all she had done, she exclaimed - "I FELT THE SPIRIT!!!" Her face and countenance was beaming with joy.

Now, behind the scenes look at this amazing experience,

Andrew called me on his way home from work. We talked and he shared how he was going to discuss with Angela what they could do together to serve someone. From experience of feeling the spirit when he serves, Andrew wanted to provide Angie with an opportunity she could feel the spirit.

Andrew talked to Angela after dinner and they brainstormed some ways to serve and came up with cleaning the kitchen for me.

Then when they were through, Andrew and Angela talked. Angela recognized that she was feeling the spirit. When Andrew asked her how it felt, she said it was happy. Andrew said that when he feels the spirit he feels happy too and just wants to do more to serve. Angela said, "Yes!! I feel like doing the laundry now!"

"ma ma"!!

Tommy said "ma-ma" today!!!! First time EVER one of our babies have said "Ma Ma" before "Da-Da." We sure love the daddy and I am glad he usually is said first - but I will take this! :)

We were getting ready to go to school. Tommy was laying on the floor because I was about to get him dressed for the day. He was in the toy room and Carolyn, Angela, and Emily were all around him (because he is the center of attention). He was laying there and said "Ma-Ma" and then "Ba-Ba" and we all starting freaking out and called Andrew to tell him. Pretty excited.

I think the girls have a big part of Tommy's development of words. They are amazing at reading and talking to him. I told Emily that she was amazing for reading "Hop on Pop" yesterday to Tommy and he is learning so much from her reading to him. Then when we got home from dropping the older girls off, Emily got right to reading to Tommy again. She is reading him "Spooky Old Tree" as I write this.
