Westminster Wednesdays

Wednesdays are usually my personal favorite week day. I love them! Westminster is a city about 20 minutes away from our home...we used to live there when we first moved to Colorado. I fell inlove with some aspects in Westminster that we just have to visit it on Wednesdays.

First of all, I love the library there...some may think I am crazy that we drive 25 minutes to get to our library, but it's the BEST. The BEST book selection , the BEST librarians, the BEST children programs, etc. Why the BEST children programs? Well, for preschooler-age kids, they get to go into "storytime/craft time" all by themselves. Miss Fiona does a cute job of reading and singing to the children followed by a cute craft or activity. Angela just LOVES it and when Carolyn was preschool age, she loved it. It gets even better...so at the exact same time Preschool Storytime is going on - there is baby/toddler singing time! So, Angela goes off to storytime and Emily and I go to sing and read books together. It works out perfectly! I really am inlove with the library...the girls and I spend A LOT of our days reading so we love a good book selection. And I love the librarians. For instance, one of the Librarians introduced Carolyn and me to the Cam Jansen Series. The girls and I love reading the series about a girl with a photographic memory that solves mysteries.

Today we were at the library for over 2 hours....reading and finding the perfect books. Carolyn is very careful about the books she picks out,...likes to do picture walks, look through the book, etc. to make sure it's what she really wants...took her about an hour to pick out 10 books...while she was doing that, Em and Angela and I read together.

Okay, so Westminster Wednesdays begin at the Library that we love. After that, we head to various parks we love there. There is one across the street from the Library that we often walk to and the park we refer to as the "Rainbow Park." Lately, we've been hitting the Westminster Splash Pad. It's awesome and a huge favorite.

Westminster also has our Farmers Market we LOVE (Wednesdays are double Ad days (more discount prices) so that's why we go on Wednesdays...I love my good deals)) and Westminster also holds Costco.

Yes, we love Westminster Wednesdays!!!

Father's Day 2013

 Father's Day was so much fun.  I feel so blessed to have the best dad ever in the home. The girls started getting ready for this day way back in March. They both made Andrew special binders full of love letters and pictures they painted/drew. They were so excited to express their love to such an amazing dada :)

For Father's Day, we secretly invited Chantal and her family and Andrew's Mom to party and eat with us! It was a fun surprise and we were so glad they could come help us celebrate Father's Day!
