For Andrew

We love you, Andrew! We thought that we would share FHE with you since you weren’t here for it! * If you are not Andrew and happen to be reading this…there is a reason I have been a little obsessive with blogging lately :) Andrew is out of town for two straight weeks so I am on here a lot because 1)Gives me something to do besides work after the cuties are in bed and 2)Andrew can see pictures of the girls and get more updates …we do talk a lot at night (and play games with each other online…we’re sorta geeks…but, it’s fun! I am ahead 2 to 1 in our online monopoly games). * Anyways, after eating a "Care Bear" dinner (where I shaped all the food like Care Bears), we had a fun FHE lesson about prayer. Carolyn got so excited when I pulled out finger puppets to teach the lesson (she kept saying how she was so happy now). She refused to be in pictures with her cute puppets on her fingers (I was hoping to record her teaching me the order of prayer, but she was camera shy - it was cute, though). She would let me take pictures of her with the puppets in front of her while she ate her ice cream.

After, we colored a picture of someone praying.
We also made "mommy" and "baby" heart people. You can't see it very well in the picture, but the faces she made on the hearts are really cute. Carolyn had fun bringing them around the house while they held hands.
Carolyn was treated a "Little Einsteins" episode after..she loves an episode where it tells the story of the three little pigs. She loves the book we have about the "big bad wolf;" I think we read it about 15 times today :) Here is her dancing for you...

We love you SO much and can’t wait for you to get home! Thank you for working so hard for us girls! We so appreciate all you do for us!! I love you!

Pucker Up!

Look at those beautiful lips ready to give kisses away! I often find this little cutie puckering (one of the many things she does that melts my heart)....how can you resist kissing the sweety?!

Back Up

So I found a website where you can back up your blog (just in case blogger crashes or something?) Anyways, if you haven't already done it, it might be a good idea:
http://www.bloggled.com/
It has a feature on it that is coming soon to put your blog into a book. Misty (thank you so much!) also gave me a couple of websites that she found for putting blog to book:
sharedbook.com or blog2print.com
Misty has a friend who made her blog into a book for $46 (It was a 90 page hard-bound book)...seems pretty decent.

8 Month Sweety-Pie

...And what is our adorable and sweet little Angela up to these days?
  • Loves Dolls! Probably her favorite toy is any doll she can get her hands on!
  • She loves the song "If you're Happy and You Know it" - can cheer her up a lot of times (it esp. adorable when Carolyn sings it to her when she is sad)
  • Likes to wave - she is figuring out how to do lots of things with her cute little hands
  • Loves “talking” about “dada” and “mama" (esp. loves talking about "dada," but she talks a lot about me when she's tired or hungry)
  • Loves to stand up holding on furniture - with crawling and scooting around on chairs, she is really getting around these days
  • Favorite food is green beans (looks like she may like being a healthy eater like her sis)
  • Loves playing in the tub!
  • Loves, loves, loves head-bonks…she LOVES it when she gets to just sit there and bonk your head over and over again…I also will often find her laughing really hard while bonking her head over and over again against the wall (she must have learned it from her cousin, Tyler!)
  • She mostly is called "Ge-Ge" (Like the "ge" in "AnGEla"...Carolyn couldn't say her name at first so she called her that - the name has sorta stuck)
  • Loves playing with her sister - which is perfect because Carolyn loves making her sister happy!

Indoor Park

This week we made two great discoveries. The first one is the story time at Pottery Barn (after going 5 times, we get $20 worth of store credit…which doesn’t get you too much at the store, but I saw some very cute possibilities…) Also, we found that our community center has a free super-fun indoor park...So fun that it is now an every other day thing for us.

Crafts, crafts, crafts!

The girls and I love making crafts together! I found a website I particularly like (crafts you can make with things around the house/ things you'd throw away):
http://www.artistshelpingchildren.org/artscraftideas.html
I am really excited about the craft we are going to make today! It's a little game where you separate lowercase and capital letters into a big and small can! I think Carolyn will love it and it will help her with her letters!

Cousins!

Carolyn loves Anna and Katie; we are so glad that we are close so the girls can get together often! Carolyn loves to do anything Anna does. In fact, if you ask her how old she is she will tell you that she is 3 since that's how old Anna is!

For Christmas, my dad made blocks for Carolyn and Angela!!! I loved blocks growing up and was so excited about the present! Here are some pictures of the girls having a fun time with the blocks.

Christmas of 2008!!!

For Christmas, we spent a week and a half in Utah! We had SO much fun! We split the time we were there with the Kims and the Ashtons; we loved seeing everyone we miss so much!

After sitting on Santa's lap, Nana treated Andrew and Carolyn to a little bus ride.
We went out with Grandma one of the days; as you can see, everyone loves taking care of Angela.
The two Carolyns had a fun time building a gingerbread house!

I think Carolyn's favorite part was "frosting the house" :)

Carolyn got to reunite with her good bud, Jax!
Jax just loves "baby Angela."
Angela and Aunt Michelley.
One of the days we were out there, Uncle Johnny took Jaxon and Carolyn sledding. Carolyn absolutely LOVED it!!

We spent Christmas Eve at the Ashtons. One Ashton tradition is the Christmas Eve Program where everyone shares a talent. Carolyn's talents were singing ABCs with Jaxon and sharing the nativity story with Daddy.
Angela's First Christmas! What a sweety!

We spent Christmas at Ponka and Nana's house. We were happy that Phil and Misty were there as well! We had so much fun getting to know Tyler better! He is such a cutie and the most friendly little person I know! He loves to say "hi" to everyone and all of the time! We had a lot of fun with him!

Tyler was so cute with Angela...
Santa Came!
For Christmas, Santa brought Angela a busy ball popper. Aparently, this is all he needed to bring :) Tyler and Carolyn played with it for a long time before we could talk them into looking at their own gifts.
Our little puzzle girl got a lot of puzzles for Christmas - which is perfect because this is what we spend a large majority of our time doing every day! She can do 63 piece puzzles all by herself and we are working on doing a 100 piece puzzle now! Everyone really showered us with gifts; thank you! THANK YOU!

After the girls went to bed, Andrew and Chantal pulled out the puzzles Carolyn got for Christmas....I can't tell you how funny it was to walk in on them doing a little tinkerbell puzzle together...

The last day we were there, Carolyn got to visit BYU's Bean museum- one of the many things we really miss about living in Provo! Here are the kids acting like the alligater they see.
