Joy in our Journey

Tuesday, October 14, 2014

She did it!! Her first play! It was intense. One week her practices were daily until after 9 PM and lots of practices during the week. It took a lot and Carolyn did great! AMAZING play. The cast was incredible and it was so exciting that Carolyn was a part of it. The director went out of her way two times to express to Andrew and me how Carolyn has done amazingly. The director (Toni) said Carolyn was better focused and acted better than some of her older cast members. The Riewarts (in our ward and big acting family) were impressed and explained Carolyn as a "ham" after watching the performance. :) It was so fun that lots of people saw it. Many from the ward...cousins Anna and Katie came one night...her teacher, Ms. Ellis even came.  Carolyn just loves her cast friends. The munchkins had to sit backstage for hours and entertain themselves during the performances. It was funny hearing what they would come up with to keep each other entertained. YAY for Carolyn!

Motherhood

"There is no such thing as the perfect mother....We just do the best we can with the help of the Lord..."
Marjorie Pay Hinckley

“Occasionally some individuals let the seeming ordinariness of life dampen their spirits. Though actually coping and growning, others lack the quiet, inner-soul satisfaction that can steady them, and are experiencing instead, a lingering sense that there is something more important they should be doing . . .as if what is quietly achieved in righteous individual living or in parenthood are not sufficiently spectacular.”
Elder Maxwell
