Miss Carolyn

Miss Carolyn Kim. She continues to LOVE kindergarten. Almost every day that she comes home from school, we play school together. She is the teacher (and a very STRICT teacher…today Andrew called me “during class” and I answered the phone. BIG MISTAKE. I got put on a yellow light!) – I LOVE that we play this just about every day. I see everything she learns (she goes through just about the entire day of school)…I see how her teacher disciplines and how things are run in the classroom (I’ve been impressed…her teacher seems sweet yet pretty strict)…and Carolyn reviews everything she learned in class. Carolyn wants to be a Gym teacher (and a fireman) when she grows up.

Carolyn continues to love her gymnastics and soccer involvement. Her favorite part of gymnastics is the pit (a big pit full of foam) and running (they run laps at the beginning of gymnastics). She also loves riding her bike, reading, any pretend play (playing “house,” “teacher,” “church” (where she is the teacher/music leader at church), barbies, etc), playing with friends, crafts/coloring/drawing, etc. Her favorite subjects at school are gym and art class.

Carolyn is a sweety. Just as an example, there was one day last week when she was in line about to get on the bus when she realized that she had given everyone in the family a hug and kiss goodbye except for Angela (because Ang was busy playing)…when she came to this realization, it was pretty dramatic . Luckily, she was able to locate Ang at the park (by the bus stop) and say goodbye and still made the bus. That’s just one example. Carolyn is so sweet in every way. She’s also amazing at trying her best to make good choices. She has such a sweet and good spirit – she wants to do good in this life and make good choices.

I've been pretty impressed with Carolyn's drawings. Here is a bike she drew today...I didn't give her any direction or anything - she did it all on her own...it's fun seeing what she draws and her improve. I was really impressed with a Santa Clause she drew at our Christmas party.
