The past few weeks at the Kims! :)...

First, some pictures of my adorable Emsy-Bemsey..

The Fort Collins Temple was dedicated and opened. We are so blessed to have 2 temples in Colorado. Our neice Katie Kim (Chris/Janeil's daughter) got to be in a youth celebration of the temple opening and they got us some tickets to go watch. I think the most touching point was when President Uchtdorf came onto the field (the celebration was at a football field) while a song played (the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing "I Feel my Savior's Love." The spirit was incredible and there were a lot of wet eyes at this moment. So amazing to be in the presence of an apostle of God. When he came out Andrew told the girls it was like we were seeing Nephi. The spirit was pretty incredible when he said that. So blessed are we to have apostles and prophets of God to share with us the word of God.

Lucy and Emily watching the celebration. Those two are pretty adorable.

Great Grandma was there, too! Angela and Grandma (with Tommy and Anew in the background).

We slept over at Chris and Janeil's house that night and then watched the dedication with them. Here are Lucy and Emily playing together.

Carolyn had a sick day a couple of weeks ago. Great excuse to play a good game of Monopoly. And just for the record, Emily won!

President Uchtdorf encouraged us to write in our journals about our experience at the Fort Collins Temple dedication. I learn so much from these cuties of mine. I loved reading their testimonies of the temple and writing down their feelings they had about the temple.
 Emily:

I love the pictures Emily makes for me and everyone.

 Decorating for Halloween:

 Angela's class earned a pj day. What a cutie-patutie.

Probably the boy's favorite food: Blueberries.
And some pictures of our handsome boy in his church vest.
I love this picture. It depicts so well the face I get to see all of the time. :)

 This one, too:

Here we are making Halloween Sugar Cookies to bring around to Home Teaching Families and friends...

One of Tommy's FAVORITE things to do right now? Be pushed around in his car. He really likes it when someone chases him.
He has such nice sisters that push him and chase him all the time. What a lucky boy.

 Decorating outside for Halloween...

Here is Tommy helping Mommy get some things together for the girls' School Halloween parties...
 Mortensen Parade:

Angela with her best friend, Emily Hood:

Angela and Emily Hood won 3rd place for the tp wrap.

Back at home. Daddy grew a big pumpkin in the garden for us to use for Halloween!

Tommy was "Thomas #88" from the Broncos Team for Halloween. The girls LOVE cheering for "Tommy" during Broncos games.
A little obsessed with the game "sleeping Queens" Carolyn and Emily chose characters from the game. Carolyn was the heart queen.

 Angela was a mermaid:
She did her own sparkly make up :)

Emily was the butterfly queen from "Sleeping Queens."

 What a bunch of cuties.

One of Tommy's favorite things to say right now is "Uh-oh!" He will drop things are purpose and say "Uh-Oh" And just say it over other things too :) What a cutie!

The girls had author week at school this week!! DAVID SHANNON came to their school. Pretty cool. Today they dressed up like pirates to welcome in an author. What a bunch of cuties. I want to squish them all.

Carolyn and Ponka writing letters to each other :)
The other night Tommy couldn't sleep so we went downstairs and snuggled on a comfy couch and turned on a Christmas show. He just sat with me and snuggled. Being a mom is the best.

The girls started getting Tommy up and reading to him. Especially his favorite book right now "Good night Moon" He is really great at growling at the three little bears and "moo"ing at the cow jumping over the moon. It was awesome the first day I walked into Tommy's room after Emily said she wanted to get Tommy up and found this adorable scene:

Tommy has the best sisters ever. Lucky boy.

We loved General Conference!!! On Sunday we had some friends over to enjoy a Conference Breakfast and then we watched Conference. Hearing the word of God through His servants was amazing. A few inspirations acted on from conference the day after:

- Emily said she wanted to study the Book of Mormon with me every day. It was amazing today to pray with her and read the word of God together. And with Tommy, too :) I love that we were invited to read the scriptures to/with those that can't quite read yet (in addition to family scripture study is what I took away from it). The spirit was so incredible while reading with Tommy and Emily today. I am so excited to begin reading personally with those two cuties. Angela and I also started reading together. She was reading on her own but thought she wanted to start reading with me after conference. A sweet story: I asked her when she wanted to read the Book of Mormon with me. She said she wanted to read it with me right before bed time because it would help her with her bad thoughts she has at night time. What a great example that girl is to me.

- One of Angela's questions she had before conference is how she can be a missionary to her good friend, Emily (not her sister- best friend at school :) While watching General Conference, Angela told me that she felt like she should give her friend Emily Hood a Book of Mormon. She wrote the most tender hearted message in a Book of Mormon for her. Angela asked a missionary question before conference. Listened to conference and got an answer. Then rolled up her sleeves and got to work doing what she felt she should do. What an amazing experience this has been.

On Friday, our good friends, the Sullivans moved to California. They were so nice to give us their bike trailer to have before they left. It is Sunday and we have been on FOUR bike rides already. And we got it on Friday. Needless to say, we are obsessed. This is going to be loved and used SOO much!!!!
