Andrea Visits!

The week before we left for Utah to celebrate Christmas, my sister, Andrea, came to visit! We had SO much fun with her! We played (Carolyn just LOVES Andrea; she wouldn't let me do anything for her - Andrea had to do it!), did some Christmas shopping, watched movies, hung out, etc. It was so much fun! Andrea and Carolyn snuggling while watching a movie. Both Carolyn and Angela LOVE snuggles. If Carolyn wants you to snuggle with her, she'll say, "snuggle me." It's cute; I love snuggling with my girls and I think Andrea liked it too when she visited.

Splish! Splash!

Before Angela came along, Carolyn was not a huge fan of bathtime. Now that she gets a little cute Angela to play with, it's hard getting her out of the tub.

She did it!

Angela started crawling this morning! It's an adorable crawl; while she crawls, one of her arms in up in the normal crawling position and the other arm is doing the "army crawl."

My sister, Andrea, is coming to town today (yay!) and then we are off to Utah for Christmas so I won't be on here for a til after Christmas!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Look Who is Talking!

While eating her green beans today, Angela started saying "dada!" So cute - her first word (of course, she doesn't realize what she is saying..but I count it as her first word:) After she was saying "dada" I, of course, wanted to move on to word #2: "mama." :) When Carolyn saw me saying "mama; mama" to Angela, she ran over and started saying, "Carolyn; Carolyn" over and over...and continued to do that throughout the day! I love my girls and am so proud of my talking Angela! ...And what is next for Angela? Crawling! She can already get to anything she wants by rolling or crawling backwards....but, she is getting so close to that forward crawl! She likes going on her hands and knees and swaying back and forth; there have been so many times when I thought she was going to move forward. She also likes getting on her hands and toes as shown in this picture; it makes Andrew and I laugh so hard when we see Angela do this! She is just SO cute and she is trying SO hard to figure out how to get around. She is so determined to move forward and is doing her very best to figure out different ways she might be able to do it....

Breakfast with Santa

Our ward had a "Breakfast with Santa" Christmas Party today!! It was SO much fun! Carolyn has screamed every previous year on Santa's lap - but, not this year! She was so excited!! I think after watching her friends sit on his lap and get bubbles she didn't want to miss out. She told Santa what she wanted for Christmas (anything Princess, of course!) and then Angela joined her on his lap. Angela also loved her visit with Santa; she was so fasinated by him (I think by his beard).

After seeing Santa, Angela was too warn out to hold out for the rest of the party...she got want she wanted out of the party and was done.

Working Out

Carolyn has a Care Bear exercise tape that she loves doing (esp. with Daddy!); it's so cute watching her exercise with Grumpy Bear...and the rest of the little crew.

Let the Traditions Begin!

This year our little family started our tradition of getting a real tree for Christmas!! It was so fun picking out a tree and bringing it home to decorate the day after Thanksgiving!! This is something we are really going to look forward doing every year; I love the excitement (and smell) of having a real tree in the home!
