There may or may not have been a few months of my life when I was watching “Twilight” on a weekly basis…and it may or may not be true that I still watch it about every other week (if not more)…Needless to say, I was completely ecstatic to see “New Moon.” Very unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see the first midnight showing. Andrew was out of town and I figured that I probably should stay home with the girls :) My friend, Kara (whose husband also happens to be a CPA), also had a husband who was out of town so she and her little boy came over for a Twilight sleepover on Thursday night! It was so much fun! We were like two high school girls…we stayed up until 1:00 AM watching Twilight and Twilight extras while talking about all the interviews and insides we’ve heard about the show and actors…it was so fun :) Then, on Friday night Kara and me and 5 other girls went and saw the show! It was so much fun! They were girls from my old ward…I love that I didn’t move too far away so I can still do stuff with them lots!
The movie was absolutely amazing...and I managed to only scream one time.
So..the big question: Team Jacob or Edward? I was so disappointed that out of the seven girls that went and saw the movie, only two of us (Nicole and me) are on the Edward Team. What is up with that? Here’s my issues with Jacob...(I know I am lame for going on about this, but if you are on Team Jacob – you’ve got to give me reasons of why you like him). The biggest thing I have against him is he is so controlling. I feel like he has to force Bella to like her…c’mon, man, don’t you want a girl that you don’t have to talk into liking you? He’s so intense and needs to let Bella decide on her own if she likes him...and wants to kiss him, etc. He’s also just not the gentleman that Edward is…the two boys are enemies…Edward at least makes an effort to be respectful and nice to him when Jacob is just a jerk towards Edward. Anyways, I know I am 15…and really, really should get a life. But those are my issues with Jacob!

Thank you! That really does help. And I'm so glad to put faces to the awesome friends you always talk about. And I totally thought of you today when there was a car in our church lot totally decorated for New Moon. They had "Team Edward" painted on one side and "Team Jacob" on the other. I almost took a picture of it for you. And I can't wait to see you in a few days and be able to watch the first Twilight with you (and hopefully the second) because you are the most fun person to watch it with!!!

Okay - so I can't say I'm totally on either team. You know I'm indecisive about just about everything. But, I was just lying in bed and couldn't sleep, so thought I'd post reasons why I semi-vote for Jacob. I think part of me likes the fact that he has to fight so hard to win her - yet he keeps on fighting for her and doesn't give up. I give some points for persistence. Plus part of me votes for the underdog when it comes to love. Edward was the easy "love at first sight." Granted, their relationship has many hurdles to "happily ever after," but I think Bella/Jacob's romance in some ways rings more true and less fairy tale because it's rooted in the fact that good relationships are based on good friendships. They aren't always love at first sight. Sometimes love comes from the young boy next door who grew up into a good man and was the only one really there for us when we needed a friend. Okay - now having said all that...I totally agree that I like how Edward is always looking out for Bella's best interest - even when it's not what would make him the happiest. And I like the fact that he is a gentleman to Jacob. And I like the fact they fell in love so easily...who am I to bash on "love at first sight?!" :-) Mark definitely took my breathe away at first glance. So once again, I'm fickle me. And I'm also 15. And I can't wait for our sleepover!!!

how fun! i just saw new moon over the thanksgiving break with jene' and siena! it was so good. i'm definitely 'team edward' for the same reasons. i love how excited and into it you are. makes me smile!
