Emily turns 6!!! And some other fun! :)

Emily  putting together some big puzzles. Much to Tommy's delight. One of his favorite things to do right now is find the T-Rex head and pull it out of the puzzle and go around and hold it up at people and growl.
 Finishing the Science Fair Project!
The girls busy at work making Valentines Cards...

SUNDAY MORNINGS. It has become a tradition in the last bit to have a kid bath in swimsuits. All the girls just love it and it's the only way Tommy enjoys bathing.

Superbowl Sunday. We had the Coleman-Nitzel family over and watched the game We had lots of yummy food and it was fun being together. This is the only picture I got of it. Our football chocolate eclairs.
Emily has been SOOO busy getting ready for her party.  Here she is working on the pinata. Which turns out to be a talent of her. I was impressed at how well she covers the pinata without leaving missing spots!

Remember Tommy's shopping cart? This week it's been the big red bin he's been pushing around and collecting items on his way.

If we are missing things in the kitchen, we know we need to check Tommy's collection of things for the day.

EMILY TURNS 6!!!! We love love love our Emily and what a fun day we had celebrating her wonderful life!!! We love this girl and how blessed we are that she is in our family!!! She brings so much joy and peace and love and fun to our home!!!

I love the homemade gifts that the girls make for everyone. Here is Carolyn's telling her what a "smarty" she is - she really is a smarty! I love listening to her read the Book of Mormon and love that she can read those words and have a pretty good understanding of it.

Angela made her some papers to make silly faces with.
I love how at her birthday party with her friends and with the family, Emily gave a hug to everyone after she opened each gift.

Daddy's homemade gift to the girl we just LOVE:

 From Carolyn to our Emsy-Bemsy:
A collection of the gifts Angela made for Emily. I thought the wand she made for Emily was pretty neat. She got a stick and painted it and covered it in sparkles.
I love how Emily made US a gift on her birthday!! What a sweet girl. This is Emily's gift to us on her birthday:

I got to out to lunch with this sweet girl on her big day :)!! One thing I LOVE about Emily is she loves to TALK. It is probably one of her favorite things to do: talk to people. I love listening to her and talking to her. She is so silly and sweet and smart.
Emily kept talking how EVERYTHING was on her birthday. And it was so true. After school we had violin lessons (20 minute drive), I had mutual, Angela had gymnastics, there was a parent gymnastics meeting, and a science fare for Carolyn at the school. All in a short period of time! Emily was a good sport about it and it was fun that we just got to stay up late and play a game together as a family and eat cake and icecream and sing to our birthday girl. Here is Carolyn at her science fare. Carolyn's thoughts about the science fare- it was a lot of work. It is true! She worked hard!
.....and more pinata making!! Angela helped Emily cover the pinata with flowers for her MOANA Birthday party.
STEAM DAY!!!! It was so fun seeing Emily have fun with some of her friends from school and church!

PARTY TIME: Limbo while listening to Moana music! Thank you Daddy for being the Moana DJ!

Emily and I couldn't get over how adorable this pig was. It is the pig from Moana and so cute.
"Pass the Flower Dress Up" game. Look at these silly girls.
Pinata time!! Some of these girls had quite the hit!! They were able to get it down before it rained (it started sprinkling rain a little bit when we got outside and I was so grateful the rain didn't start up quite yet and those girls were strong hitters!!! They got it down pretty fast!)

The Party Girls (Left to right: Savannah, Lucy, Emily, Violet, Annie, and Hannah)
NOTE: Angela and Carolyn were the BEST party helpers a mom could ever dream of!! Thank you to Carolyn and Angela!!!!!

Last Friday we went over to the Coleman-Nitzel house and Lacy and Catherine Baily helped Carolyn and her two friends (Addie and Madeliene) make some pillow cases!
This past week Emily and I finished reading another chapter book together!!! Reading with my Emily is one of my FAVORITE things to do and I love the books she is picking to read! This was a good one and we learned a lot, too! Who knew Polar Bears could go on thin ice that humans would break!? How cool. I love reading with Emily and I love how much she loves to read!!! When it's too cold to get outside to pick up the girls from school or if Tommy is tired or we are feeling too lazy, we like to read together in the car while we wait for the older kids to walk to us. That's why were are in the car in this picture :)
FIESTA!!!! Daddy was a lucky guy and got to take Carolyn and Angela to a Daddy-daughter FIESTA!! I loved that Carolyn was such a great missionary and made 18 invitations to give out to people at school to come to the church Activity Days Activity. I also love how much fun these girls had with Andrew. They are so lucky to have the best daddy ever. They had fun making these pinatas in the picture below. They also played a game Daddy had to guess their voice. They danced (and said it was very tiring learning the Fiesta dance) and played other fun games.

Here is what the girls wrote during the Fiesta. Carolyn wrote that Daddy is fabulous because "you make me laugh and make me happy. Thanks for being so nice."
Angela wrote that Dad is fabulous because "you are funny. You are nice. You make me laugh."
While those 3 partied, I got to stay with in the birthday girl. We broke out some new puzzles and did them while watching "Frozen." Then we played volleyball together and ended the night with "pillow talk"(talking about our days while snuggling) and then we ended snuggling in my bed with Tommy and watched "Finding Dory"
