Andrew's Big 3-0 !

Yay! Andrew's big 3-0 was yesterday! To celebrate, we threw him a little surprise party...his parents came (happen to be here for baby Ryan's blessing on Sunday) and Chantal, Dave, and Chris. We ate dinner, talked, etc. It was fun. Andrew's favorite cake is strawberry shortcake and he loves homemade chocolate eclairs - so that's what we made him. Here are the girls decorating his cake... The girls had fun decorating and making him lots of pictures and letters. We sure love our Andrew!

Daddy and his girls. I think these are the luckiest girls ever to have such an amazing daddy.

Me and my birthday boy
I love Ang's face in this picture. She is such a cutie. Angela is SUCH a daddy's girl.

We love you, Andrew! Excited for the next decade!

Carolyn's First Day of School!!!!!!

This beautiful girl's dreams came true on Monday, August 22nd...she started Kindergarten! And it's everything she's hoped it to be so far :) She's just LOVING it! What a cutie! Her teacher and school seem fantastic so far so we are pretty happy. She loves everything about school! What an exciting time in this sweet girl's life!

This sweet girl was soooo excited to have one-on-one preschool with mom! I don't think our time together in the morning could be any better. We have so much fun learning together and we are both loving the time we have one-on-one. She loves being like her sister and packing a snack every morning, getting her homework together, etc, etc

I just love my girls. I love my life with them and my whole family :)
(I know this is a repeat picture and not of the first day of school, but I sure love my time I have with this happy and sweet little cutie - I defintely need her in this post!)

Carolyn with her first picture she brought home from school. Exciting times.
Carolyn made this on her second day of school...so fun to see the things she brings home. I love this picture of the family! What a great artist.
Here is Angela showing off her first day of school worksheet she did! She is doing great with her handwriting.
Just days before Carolyn's first day of school, she had her first soccer game.
I can't get over how cute I think she looks in her uniform.

Some of the cute observers watching the game (little Em is sitting with me :)...

The girls with their first picture/first worksheet of the school year (again :)
I love the walk to the bus and back with Carolyn. She holds my hand and tells me all about her day and friends at school. It's so special to me and I just treasure every moment of it. I love how much she loves learning and doing homework with me (hopefully it lasts!) and love her showing me/telling me everything she is learning. I love my time with Emily and Angela while Carolyn is away. I miss my sweet Carolyn so much when she leaves, but my time with Em and Ang is so amazing and priceless. Such amazing one-on-one time with them where we learn and play together. I am excited about this new adventure of school together. Next year will be tough when Carolyn leaves all day - but for now, I am loving this year's schedule so far.

Six Years

Six amazing years with the love of my life...

SIX Christmases together
FIVE different homes together
FOUR trips to the ER together
THREE beautiful little girls
TWO Bachelor's Degrees
ONE Master's Degree

To celebrate, Andrew made his wife's dream come true and took her to another....
...concert! It was amazing! Josh is amazing on CD (I'd know, the girls and I listen to him almost daily), but in person - it's just insane. It was so fun and such a romantic and fun night out with my husband!

My camera is horrible so this picture doesn't lie at all. Andrew completely spoiled his wife and got her and him AMAZING seats!!!
His concert was a few days before our anniversary and then on our actual big day we went out to the movies (a HUGE thank you to our great babysitters!) It was all wonderful!

Lovely Visitors

These past few days have been amazing! My mom, Silly Monkey (you might know him as Richy- but he is "Silly Monkey" at our house), and Paula (Richard's girlfriend) came to visit. My favorite part was probably the late nights we spent talking. It was so much fun and then sad when they left today :( Here Grandma is with Carolyn teaching her some piano. And Grandma read lots of books to the girls...(she comes and the girls get so spoiled with attention and stuff)...

Silly Monkey. My girls are obsessed with this goof pot.
Coloring! My mom seems to always brings tons of coloring books...the girls and I love to color together so we love the coloring options she brings :)

They also had fun creating their own puzzles with grandma...

While they were visiting Carolyn had Back to School night!!! I had butterflies for one and think Carolyn did as well! So exciting! She got to go see her classroom and meet her teacher (Mrs. Burkeen) - her classroom and teacher seem wonderful - we are so optimistic about this school year!
Carolyn got to drop off her school supplies at the school - she wanted me to take pictures with her pencils. She's quite excited about the equipment for school :)
Angela and I talk non-stop about our exciting new year of preschool ahead of us! We are going to have a BLAST! It will be so wonderful for us to have such great one-on-one learning time together! I can't wait!

Pictures with the lovely visitors :)

Richy and Paula. Carolyn fell inlove with Paula - she wanted Paula to do everything for her and she always wanted to be with her.

Emily and my mom bonded quite a lot. One of the nights they were here, Andrew and I went out on a date. Our visitors were so amazing and babysat for us - during this time, these two became even closer :)
Silly, silly Monkey.

On Saturday, Andrew had a work party at an amusement park! It was FUN!!!!! Carolyn and Angela have no fear of rides...we also got to go on boat bumper cars (my favorite), rode ponies, went mini-golfing (Andrew beat me :(, etc. It was a blast! We hope next year his work party is at the same location.
Carolyn's favorite ride there (no fear)...and Angela went on it every time, too! Crazy kids!

I just love this picture of Ang. The pony was her favorite part of the amusement park. I love this girl.
Come back soon, visitors! We already miss you way too much!
