I was writing in my personal journal this morning and thought I'd share a piece of it:

I was just pouring out my heart this morning in gratitude. It was a good weekend. Carolyn was in a play and just shined. She was an ompa lompa who stole the show. She was so cute and had the crowd laughing. She was amazing at Angela's bday party - she helped so much and it wouldn't have gone smoothly without her. She was always willing to help in whatever way. Angela had so many friends at her party yesterday. She invited all the girls in her school class and all but one came. It was so fun. She also is rocking gymnastics. She is already on pre-team! I was so proud of her yesterday at gymnastics. She only had to take the intermediate class one time and flew right through it and is on to pre-team! I told her that was a result of her constantly working hard at something -she is ALWAYS doing gymnastics and what a fun thing to see her advance so quickly. And Emily, too! She got a hat trick at soccer yesterday! Three goals that aggressive and athletic girl got!!! She's not afraid to really slide around and get in there....and she is great at soccer. Last, Tommy. Yesterday morning we were all downstairs getting ready for Angela's party. We were decorating and preparing. Meanwhile, Tommy was up in the loft all by himself. For like 10 minutes, he was playing with one of his toys and just cracking up with laughter the whole time. Tommy's laugh is one of the best sounds in the entire world. It was so cute to just be downstairs and listening to our happy Tom Tom laugh to himself. He did this again during Emily's party. We were opening gifts in the front room while Tommy was in the kitchen in his exersaucer. Again, he was just there by himself laughing and laughing and having a good old time :) It was such a good weekend.

TODAY is Sunday! The Sabbath. I thought I'd write some sweet things our family does for #Hisday!

- I love our family councils! Carolyn keeps minutes and we council together. We discuss how we can strengthen and help each other and how we can reach out to others in missionary work and service. We make specific goals and plans for the week focused on that.

- We try to do all our work before the sabbath - food preparation, homework, etc.

- We get ready for FHE - we get our assignments and prepare for our part in FHE for the following day.

- We spend time together!! Games, walks, making cards for people, visiting people, etc

#Hisday!
