Our Garden has been insane this summer - we have felt so blessed. Tomatoes, broccoli, squash, canteloupe, pumpkins, cucumbers, etc - it's been awesome. We feel blessed!

Pretend Crying

Sometimes at night right after putting Emy to bed, she will be crying so I go into her room. When I enter, a smile spreads across her face and she announces to me that she is just pretending to cry.

I love our conversations together. Many conversations go like these...

Emily: "Heavenly Father loves me too much the best."
Me: "Yes"
Emily: "Jesus hold me in Heaven."
Me: "Yes - he will hold and hug you in Heaven."
Emily - a big smile across her face

Sweet Girl

I love Angela. She loves helping people and making people feel happy. She told me she gave out two compliments to people at school - one girl she told her that she looked pretty and told another one she had a pretty voice. Angela is so amazing and serving and loving. I loved that today while Angela and I were hanging out listening to Christmas music, she announced to me that she loved Christmas for two reasons - that we remember Jesus and the songs.

"Boy Magnet"

My friend  substitute taught at Turnberry Elementary School two days ago and reported to me today that Carolyn was a boy-magnet. She said she had tons of boys chasing her around the playground at both her recesses both two days. The boys catch Carolyn and then chase her again.

Carolyn loves telling everyone that the boys (and girls) at school now call her "cantelope." She says one day at lunch she was eating cantelope and everyone started calling her that and it has stuck.

Soccer

And so the soccer season starts!!

Carolyn has friends she knows on her team from school and previous soccer teams. She is doing awesome at competing and after an hour of her practice, she tells me she wishes the practices were longer. She loves the games the couch plays and being with the players.

Angela scored 2 points her second game! She is awesome at getting out there and competing!

Great Grandpa Hansen

Last Thursday Andrew's Grandfather passed away. We decided to make a two day quick trip to St. George so we could celebrate his Grandpa's life. She lived until he was 92 and lived such an amazing life of service, faith, and love for others. It was amazing that ALL his grandchildren were able to make it to the funeral...one flew from Arabia (or something) and two cousins drove 22 and 30 hours to get there. Just shows how much Great Grandpa loved - everyone wanted to be there to celebrate his life. His sweet and kind wife, Della, is still with us in this life - we pray that she will feel comforted during this difficult time for her.

We stayed at Grandpa and Grandma's house for the funeral. Pictures definitely speak louder than words...just guess how much fun the girls had there.
