-Many times when I pick her up, she will push her head into me to snuggle and then grasp her hands open and shut multiple times on my arms…or tummy…like she is just trying to pull me in…I love this.
- She loves blowing kisses…and giving kisses…when she gives a kiss, she will open her mouth, stick out her tongue and go for the lips…I love her juicy kisses.
- She is so petite! I love it. She is my tiniest one yet at this age…already in the 10% for height. Little and sweet.
- She loves to growl. Right now EVERY animal growls…we are trying to teach her other animal sounds, but she just likes the growling.
- One of my favorite recent memories…I use a little sign language with her and have been teaching her the sign for “all done” after she eats…or we change her diaper…or whatever. I’ll always remember the sweet memory of her first time signing “all done.” She was eating and I came over to her…she looked at me and got the biggest, sweetest smile on her face and signed “all done.” She was soooooo thrilled with herself and her smile said it all “Look, mom – I CAN COMMUNICATE WITH YOU! THIS IS GREAT!!” She kept signing “All done” and then would clap and happy scream for herself J That same night after changing her diaper, I told her she was “all done”…same thing – huge grin – signed “all done” with a look of complete joy as she realized I could understand her and then she kept clapping for herself. So sweet.
- Her favorite foods: Rice puffs (the greatest thing at Walmart - $1 for a bag with cereal that is just brown rice puffed up (no added preservatives or sugar or anything), oatmeal, cucumbers, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, beans, and applesauce. NOT a fan of cake. On her first birthday we were SOOO thrilled to introduce her to cake (the girls have been waiting MONTHS for their sister to finally get to taste). She would have NOTHING to do with the cake. Just wanted something else to eat. But she does like icecream – so we know she’s still a Kim.
- She LOVES cars…by far her favorite toy. Her favorite car is one Ponka gave to Angela…it is one you pull back and it goes on its own – she loves crawling around the floor pushing her little car around. LOVES cars – by far her favorite- like I said.
- Favorite song: “Happy and You know it.”
-Loves books…mostly about animals so she can growl at them all.
- LOVES to snuggle. One of my favorite things she’ll do is throw herself to the floor and start getting in the fetal position and then look at me and smile big so I’ll come over and snuggle her.
- Loves soft tickles on the back.
-I know that I am starting a bad habit, but one of my favorite times of the entire day is putting Emily to sleep. I put a pillow out on her floor and we just snuggle and I rub her back as she falls to sleep. I can’t wait for this to end my day with the kids.
-I love how Emily always takes a finger to her lips and pulls her lip down multiple times while saying "awwww."
She loves cooking with me. The girls and I all cook together and we just love it. Here we are making our 100% whole wheat vegan low-fat and low sugar muffins.
Now a little bit about my sweet Carolyn! For starters, she loves kindergarten and learning. She loves coming home and being my “Teacher” and teaching me what she learned at school that day. She loves writing journal entries…here are some sample of her cute journal entries…
Carolyn also loves writing stories. Here a story about 2 frogs that fall inlove. If you can read it, it is a funny book. Carolyn's favorite author is Mo Willems. She says that she always tries to make her books funny like Mo Willems!
Another journal entry…
Carolyn and I love reading almanacs together...
Carolyn also loves crafts (she spends a good part of each day creating/drawing)…loves gymnastics…is getting good at practicing the piano…loves to sing…loves friends…and being silly and making people laugh. She is a little forgetful. Her teacher and bus driver always have to run after her with gloves, hat, lunch box, etc. One day she got home from school and said, "Mom, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I have one glove. The bad news is I lost the other one."
