The first thing we did was celebrated Fathers Day for Andrew! I don't think a day goes by I don't thank my Father in Heaven for that Andrew. He is so amazing and perfect for me and the girls in so many ways. We are so grateful that we have Fathers Day to celebrate Andrew. We knew we'd be in Utah for actual Fathers Day so we celebrated Andrew the Sunday before. Carolyn had a blast making Andrew his breakfast in bed.

In Primary on Fathers Day, Carolyn made a list of 10 things she loves about Andrew. Her list was priceless as she did it all on her own and I think she had 10 amazing things about Andrew. Here is her list of 10 things she loves about Andrew...1. Hugs

On Monday we went to an amusement park at Lakeside! It was sooo much fun! We were too busy to take pictures.
On Tuesday we headed for our camping trip! We set up the tent and played and played in the tent (played lots of games, did puzzles, and read lots of books...and of course there was a ton of soft tickles and snuggling that went on). We also played sports in the field, went on hikes, explored, ate yummy food, told scary stories around the camp fire, etc. etc - it was sooo fun! I for one love the outdoors - esp. with the fam.
Carolyn was the most excited for our camping adventure over everything else we did as a family before leaving for Utah. Why? SMORES!!!! She just wanted to get to the outdoors to eat some chocolately smores, smores, smores :)
On Wed., we went to a Rockies game!!!! The good guys won and the girls had fun watching. It was Emily's first sporting event (which is INSANE- she is way off schedule! The others girls had been to sporting events when they were just days old...but Emily was a big 4 months - we'll have to make up for it and hit a lot of sports sometime soon :)
Thursday morning at 3:30 AM we hit the road for Utah!!!!!! We have found that traveling works best if we leave early in the morning...the girls sleep for the first long while and then when they wake up we don't have too much further to go. It's great. I'm also loving the fact that we don't use movies while traveling. The girls have so much fun talking, singing, coloring - it's great. Given, if I were driving more than 8-10 hours, I'd probably buy a DVD player - but for our little drive, the girls do awesome just hanging out and sleeping. Angela cracked us up on our way over. Here she is at 3:30 AM as happy as can be - it was funny because Andrew and I would look back and couldn't always tell if she was awake or asleep with her wearing her sunglasses.
Okay, I knew she was asleep when I got this shot...but this girl was all set for the drive...just needed her sunglasses and lipgloss.
First, we went to my parents' house for our trip. The first full day we were there - we headed to Temple Square. We always love visiting Temple Square when we visit.
Grandma learned quick that she shouldn't leave her makeup out in the open...maybe this girl's mother needs to teach her some manners :) She was pretty proud of herself when she came down the stairs looking "way way beautiful" (in Angela's words) with her bright lipstick and brushing her hair.
The next day after Temple Square was my dad's birthday. Him being the cute grandpa he is wanted to take his grandkids to This is the Place to celebrate. That is another place we always go when in Utah.
(picture by Carolyn) Probably my favorite part of the vacation was the second to last night we were in Utah. We stayed up until almost 6 AM just talking and talking...I love Andrew.
My girls are so obsessed with Uncle Richy...or "funny monkey" as they call him.
One of the things that Carolyn looks forward to the very very most when we go to Utah is Grandpa's campouts in his yard! He gets his fire pit going...sets up the tent....the girls have a blast! (here is a picture of Carolyn playing with her baby sis before the campout).

We said "goodbye" after a few days at my family's and headed to Andrew's parents' house...it was so fun seeing everyone and getting to play with cousins! (These pictures of playing at Ponka's house and all the swimming pics were taken by Misty :)
Carolyn was soooo excited to reunite with Kayla!! I didn't get pictures of it, but the weekend after we got back from St. George, Kayla came over to our house for a cousin sleepover...it was so fun...a lot of games, rainbow cupcakes, fireworks, etc, etc - it was so fun having her over to sleepover. Carolyn loves Kayla and often talks about her. This picture was taken in St. George...We went to St. George while in Utah to celebrate Andrew's grandpa's 90th birthday. It was so fun. Andrew's family that was able to come (Misty and kids, Michelle's family, Alex, Ponka, Nana, and us) all stayed in a condo. We swam a lot, played games, stayed up too late, etc, etc. Grandpa Hansen's party was amazing - we celebrated it on June 25th - it was so wonderful to celebrate with him - we are so blessed to have him!
Cafe Rio in St. George...Woot! Woot! Andrew owed me this meal after my big win from the race horse competition we had :) Here is Uncle Al with Em. The first day that we were in Utah with Andrew's family, Angela saw Alex for the first time after a while and pointed at him and said, "This is funny." It was classic and made me laugh so hard.
Dinosaur Track Museum - yah, all I have to say is never again and I highly do not recommend it. But, nevertheless - fun with cousins :)

What a beauty. And on July 26th while we were in Utah, this babe rolled over for the first time :)
Lots and lots and lots of swimming in St. George. I never knew how much I loved swimming with my girls and cousins - it was honestly so much fun swimming so much.
Fun Uncle Andrew...after Andrew was tossing Tyler in the air, Tyler came to play with me in the water. I tossed him a few times in the air and he (very understandably so) told me that he wanted Andrew back to toss him - I mean really -can I compete with this?
