Gobble! Gobble!

We had such an amazing Thanksgiving! We got to spend about a week and a half in Utah! It was so fun seeing everyone!

The day after Thanksgiving, my brother (Johnny) and his wife (Kisa) had an open house (they got married in October). It was such a beautiful reception! My aunts did an AMAZING job at making a perfect Christmasy open house! It was at This is the Place in SLC...the reception was in a beautiful home there...everything looked so cozy and wonderful! (I LOVE Angela's smile in this picture...I really do feel like I have the best life)....

The place of the reception had a wonderful train ride we took! We rode around "This is the Place" and looked at fun Christmas lights! There were lots of fun stops along the way (i.e. see a live manger scene, live reindeer, etc....since it was so late we only had time for one stop...we chose to see Santa!! :)

A few days after the reception, Nana took the girls to see Santa again :) When we went the girls were the only people there so Santa spent A LOT of time talking to them! It was really special! He even sang a few songs with them! It was a GREAT moment in Carolyn's life (again, Angela wanted nothing to do with him).
I love the mall in Provo because they have a fun train ride you can take after seeing Santa. I didn't get pictures of them riding in it, but I did get some of them playing in the mall :)

While in Provo, we had to hit the museums! First, we went to the Bean Museum. Of course, the entire time Angela took good care of her baby doll. She has a great system of how she wraps it in a blanket. It always makes me laugh....

New Moon!

You may not want to read this if you haven’t seen the movie…it’s a bit of a movie spoiler :)

There may or may not have been a few months of my life when I was watching “Twilight” on a weekly basis…and it may or may not be true that I still watch it about every other week (if not more)…Needless to say, I was completely ecstatic to see “New Moon.” Very unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see the first midnight showing. Andrew was out of town and I figured that I probably should stay home with the girls :) My friend, Kara (whose husband also happens to be a CPA), also had a husband who was out of town so she and her little boy came over for a Twilight sleepover on Thursday night! It was so much fun! We were like two high school girls…we stayed up until 1:00 AM watching Twilight and Twilight extras while talking about all the interviews and insides we’ve heard about the show and actors…it was so fun :) Then, on Friday night Kara and me and 5 other girls went and saw the show! It was so much fun! They were girls from my old ward…I love that I didn’t move too far away so I can still do stuff with them lots!
The movie was absolutely amazing...and I managed to only scream one time.

So..the big question: Team Jacob or Edward? I was so disappointed that out of the seven girls that went and saw the movie, only two of us (Nicole and me) are on the Edward Team. What is up with that? Here’s my issues with Jacob...(I know I am lame for going on about this, but if you are on Team Jacob – you’ve got to give me reasons of why you like him). The biggest thing I have against him is he is so controlling. I feel like he has to force Bella to like her…c’mon, man, don’t you want a girl that you don’t have to talk into liking you? He’s so intense and needs to let Bella decide on her own if she likes him...and wants to kiss him, etc. He’s also just not the gentleman that Edward is…the two boys are enemies…Edward at least makes an effort to be respectful and nice to him when Jacob is just a jerk towards Edward. Anyways, I know I am 15…and really, really should get a life. But those are my issues with Jacob!

A Snowman for Daddy

We have just been loving the snow that we've been getting here (I absolutely love the snow...as long as I don't have to drive in it...and the girls just always love the snow!) Anyways, today Carolyn and I made a snowman for Daddy. Carolyn named the snowman "Andrew."

I Heart Andrew

I knew that Andrew was incredibly amazing when I married him, but it has been astonishing to discover over the years how exactly amazing he truly is. One of his many great qualities is he is so good at surprising me.

About 2 weeks ago, we told me to not plan anything for Friday the 13th – he wanted to take me out for a date. Cute, I know – planning a date way in advance:) Anyways, the time drew nearer and on Thursday (the night before the date), I discovered that he had taken the entire day off of work for the date – I, of course, assumed it would just be a night thing. It was a WONDERFUL day with Andrew!! He first took me out for a late lunch to my favorite restaurant, Red Robin (a big thanks to my parents for the gift certificate there –thank you!) Then, we went and saw “Christmas Carol.” As Andrew would put it, I like any movie that has to do with Christmas so I really enjoyed the show (HOWEVER, it is not a kid show!! It is scary! I wouldn’t ever bring Carolyn and Angela to it!) Anyways, it was so fun! I love dinner and a movie! Last, we went to a hotel so I could have the night off of kids (I LOVE those kids (obviously) – but a night off was wonderful!)

And who, you might be wondering, is the amazing person that watched our kids so Andrew and I could have a fabulous day off? Aunt Chantal! She’s incredible! Watched our kids all day and all night – THANK YOU!

Anyways, I love Andrew – I have no idea how I got him, but I love that I did!

Our Two Beautiful Ballerinas

Carolyn has been talking about being a ballerina for Halloween for MONTHS! When we go to the library, she often picks out a book about ballerinas so I think that is where her fascination for being a ballerina started – not to mention how much she LOVES to dance! Angela was going to be something else, but she ended out loving Carolyn’s costume so much that she was a ballerina as well (after all, she also LOVES to dance :)

The girls just love wrestling and snuggling eachother...sometimes it is the only thing that can cheer them up.

I didn't take very many pictures at our ward Halloween party...but here is one! My girls just loooove Jacob!!! Poor guys gets smothered by the girls whenever they see im :) But he always smiles about it :) So cute...
The girls only made it about 30 min. trick or treating and they were done (made a happy mom - less candy to bring home :) Here they are picking out a treat to eat after all their hard work of trick or treating:

We had the “big move day” Halloween morning. We were so grateful for all the people that showed up to help with the move – it went really fast! THANK YOU!

My parents tried to make it to help on Saturday morning, but because of all the snow we got, they didn’t end up coming until Saturday night. They were AMAZING! They helped sooo much for few days they were here! My dad was superman and fixed a whole bunch of stuff around the house (he made us BEAUTIFUL window well covers – I love them and he saved us $800 doing it – thanks, dad!...he also fixed our sump-pump…and a whole bunch of other jobs around the house!). My mom was great and watched the girls while I unpacked – I was able to get mostly unpacked in four days! It was wonderful! Thanks, Mom and Dad!

The girls just couldn't get enough of playing with Grandpa: Grandma was awesome and brought some of her puzzles to do with the girls...they had so much fun reading and doing puzzles with their grandma.
